Abstract: In this paper, we introduce various cyclic contractions, namely $\varphi$-cyclic contractive mapping, almost Geraghty cyclic contraction mapping and almost $\psi$-cyclic contraction mapping. We prove the existence of fixed points of these maps in complete metric spaces. We draw some corollaries and provide examples in support of our results. Our results generalize the results of Kirk, Srinivasan and Veeramani .
